About the Owner
My name is Jason Schmidt and I am the owner and operator of Above the Top Roofing, LLC. We service the western Michigan area. I started out in construction work as a carpenter learning from one of the best, Tom Prins. While working 40-50 hours a week in carpentry, I also worked nights and weekends with a friend, who taught me everything he knew about roofing. Still eager to learn even more about the process of building a home I moved onto learning the framing process of a home. This enabled me to further understand how the framing of a house and the roof mesh together. Still, I continued working nights and weekends on roofing by myself enlisting the help of my wife, Leeanne from time to time, mainly so we could still see each other.
Finally, in 2001, after careful consideration, I decided to take the risk and plunge into roofing full time with my own business, Above The Top Roofing, LLC. It has been one of the best decisions I have ever made, and with no regrets I continue to strive to provide superior service and comfort to our customers in their time of need.
